This year was filled to the brim with decadent and indulgent weddings. Couples across the world made long lasting commitments in intimate garden settings, countryside estates, and sunlit rooftops. Yet among the elaborate floral decorations and star-studded guest lists, it was the brides who shaped the season’s most memorable moments. Their fashion was at the centre of each event; heritage pieces resurfaced, vintage couture returned in force, and cultural storytelling became central to bridal style. Here are some of our favourite looks from 2025:
Alana Hadid and her partner Ross Williams first connected the way many modern couples do - through an app - yet their wedding unfolded with the warmth and familiarity of a family gathering. The ceremony took place in the garden of her father’s Los Angeles home, where her sisters Bella and Gigi walked barefoot across the lawn in soft green bridesmaid dresses. Alana gravitated toward something with character and history, opting for an archival Vivienne Westwood gown sourced from Tab Vintage. The dress, originally cut several sizes larger, was meticulously tailored to her frame. She paired it with a veil embroidered with tiny wildflowers alongside her mother Mary’s amethyst earrings, layered Dorsey necklaces, and a custom gold-and-diamond band by Sofia Kaman.
Entrepreneur Aylar Farrokhzad, the founder of Persian iced tea brand Yalda Iced Tea, celebrated her marriage in the Cotswolds. The day revolved around both Persian traditions and English countryside charm, with the ceremony itself taking place on a sunlit balcony at Euridge Manor. Her gown - a luminous strapless Vera Wang design - featured sculptural satin, a fitted bodice, and a sweeping skirt. A single strand of pearls grounded the look, while her bouquet introduced bursts of colour. To honour her heritage, she added a veil stitched with delicate floral motifs inspired by Persian artistry, giving the ensemble a soft, poetic dimension.
When actor and entrepreneur Emily Shah wed Mena Massoud in Tuscany, the two decided to place their two cultures at the centre of the celebrations. This meant hosting two separate ceremonies and reception parties, ensuring that guests were dazzled by a whole handful of iconic bridal looks. For the first event - a Hindu ceremony - Shah chose a bespoke red sari by Arpita Mehta paired with a corset blouse and subtle silver heels. The piece cleverly incorporated symbols connected to the couple’s horoscopes, while her mehendi was peppered with constellations and zodiac imagery. That evening, a sangeet-style party followed, complete with music, Indian dishes, and cocktails laced with Dharma Indian Dry Gin. Shah switched first into a decadent gold Itrh look, then later into a shimmering silver mesh dress by Shona Joy. The next day, to honor Massoud’s Coptic Christian faith, Shah walked down the aisle in a custom Lihi Hod gown with Louboutin lace heels and a delicate veil.
Charli XCX tied the knot initially in London, though she had a much larger second celebration in Sicily. For the event, she wore an ethereal sheer silk chiffon slip gown by Danielle Frankel, cut on the bias with wispy straps and a long, fluid train. A translucent layer revealed a structured, corseted interior, while ribbons of chiffon cascaded down the back. Hand-embroidered petals and baroque pearls added depth to the look alongside a simple floral arrangement of eucalyptus, baby’s breath, and gypsophila.
In a highly anticipated and start studded event this summer, Zein Qutami married Celio Saab – son of couturier Elie Saab. The ceremony took place at the Church of Bkerke in Lebanon, with the bride dressed in a gown designed by her father-in-law. A sense of ethereal elegance defined the dress, with a delicate off-shoulder neckline framing an intricately embellished bodice. This structured top abruptly gave way to a full skirt and dramatic train, an oversized bow grounding the piece at the back. Paired with a sparkling headpiece and a cathedral-length veil, Zein certainly stood out amongst the crowd.
Princess Iman Pahlavi wed American tech entrepreneur Bradley Sherman this summer at a venue near the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. The ceremony was intimate, with the granddaughter of Iran’s last monarch Mohammad Reza Shah and Empress Farah Pahlavi surrounded by close friends and family. She chose a custom Elie Saab gown for the nuptials, with fine lace lining the neckline and sleeves, and a soft, full skirt. Throughout the day, the dress transformed into several looks, with the bride removing the sleeves and shoulder details for later celebrations.
A royal union of heritage, love, and contemporary elegance

Selena Gomez’s look was one of the most talked about of 2025. Married at the lush Sea Crest Nursery before 170 guests, the bride chose Ralph Lauren for the occasion: the piece featured a hand-draped halter neck satin gown with subtle embroidery, a low wrapped back, and a long, liquid-silk train. To finish the look, Selena carried lily of the valley and paired the dress with Tiffany & Co. diamond earrings.
Here’s all the details on the couple’s Santa Barbara-set wedding — from Gomez’s custom Ralph Lauren dress to guests including Taylor Swift, Steve Martin, and Martin Short
