If something comes out of the closet with the rising temperatures is, inevitably, a lighter colour palette. Especially white jeans, which are starting to creep into the streets, in stores and on our Pinterest boards.
With the current revival of nineties minimalism, it was only a matter of time before they came back to lead the conversation just when spring is starting to feel. Especially in their straight version, which shares that effortless feeling of that era. Because there are days when you want to wear jeans, but not the same formula as always, but something more intentional (says someone who abuses the blue jeans and white t-shirt combo from Monday to Sunday as soon as the days start to get longer).
Fashion girls also have it clear - the street style is already dictating sentence. This spring-summer 2026, white jeans are worn with loafers, ballerinas and cowboy boots.
For these jeans I break my own rule where the perfect length is with the denim just dragging the ground (for obvious reasons). Here it works even a little more cropped, revealing the shoe and that's where the loafers come in: the flat shoe that elevates the look par excellence. The blazer does all the work of providing structure and takes it straight to that territory between cool office and it-girl in the Hamptons. The key? Go for shades like brown, black or navy, even with pinstripes, to break away from the predictability of white.
If for years we reserved them for sandals, now it's time to raise the level (without losing, obviously, comfort). Ballerinas are that basic that transforms the look into something more polished, but without giving up the freshness of a Birkenstock. It's the perfect balance between practical and chic, especially for those days when walking a lot is the essential purpose. And not to lose the vibrant energy that spring invites, the touch of color pop is key: red in the base layer or jacket brings that Parisian touch that always works. White, black and red? A combination that simply never fails.
There are combinations that have a name of their own, and this one clearly whispers Lady Di. Maybe it's that mix of elevated simplicity or that fantasy (a bit unrealistic) of going the whole day without getting them dirty. This season they are worn inside sharp-toed boots, with a T-shirt and some leather-effect detail to break up the monochrome, the final detail? a leather-effect jacket to break up that biker vibe.
