At the crossroads of high design and high performance, Maserati and Giorgetti have unveiled an unprecedented collaboration at Milan Design Week 2025—one that redefines the intersection of automotive innovation and Italian interior artistry. The result is a masterful fusion of function and emotion: the Maserati Giorgetti Edition, a full-electric Grecale Folgore one-off, and an accompanying interior collection that pays homage to the beauty of Italian know-how.
This isn’t just a car. It’s a concept in motion—a design dialogue between two storied houses that share an uncompromising pursuit of elegance, customisation, and emotional storytelling.
“The collaboration with Giorgetti perfectly fits within our vision of becoming the curator of the ‘Made in Italy’,” says Klaus Busse, Head of Design at Maserati. “It’s an expression of ‘high tailoring on wheels,’ celebrating innovation, heritage, and exclusivity.”
The Maserati Giorgetti Edition brings that sentiment to life, swathed in a custom Gleaming Dusk exterior and trimmed in denim-coloured leather with bespoke wool-blend seats. Subtle yet striking copper accents, denim Alcantara headrests etched with a wooden Trident, and laser-engraved stainless-steel sills elevate the experience from automotive to almost architectural.
Inside, it feels more “atelier” than SUV—a result of Giorgetti’s unmistakable hand in crafting a unique material language. “We focused on maintaining Giorgetti’s craftsmanship while respecting Maserati’s performance-driven luxury,” notes Giancarlo Bosio, Creative Director at Giorgetti. “We reimagined our signature elements—fine wood, leather, and metal—through the lens of movement and speed, crafting not just interiors, but emotions.”
This one-off Grecale was conceived within Maserati’s newly inaugurated Officine Fuoriserie workshops in Modena, a space dedicated to the brand’s most refined and ambitious customisations. Here, luxury isn’t static—it’s sculpted to suit the individual.
“Our Fuoriserie program was built to go beyond the ordinary,” Busse explains. “It allows clients to create their own masterpieces. With Giorgetti, we wanted to express their personality and craftsmanship in a way that felt authentic and daring—like a rolling sculpture.”
For Bosio and his team, the creative challenge was about transposing Giorgetti’s signature warmth into an environment engineered for aerodynamics. “We had to envision our pieces as if sculpted by wind,” he shares. “It was about finding a balance between comfort and motion, elegance and engineering.”
The accompanying Giorgetti Maserati Edition interior collection—unveiled at the brand’s Spiga showroom—draws mythological inspiration from Neptune’s trident and the natural elements that have long defined Maserati’s design ethos. Pieces like the Nereide modular sofa and the Seidon curved seat pay tribute to the sea and sky, evoking fluidity, freedom, and the sublime.
And yet, nothing about this collaboration feels forced. “There’s a natural synergy,” says Busse. “Just as our cars are more than transportation, Giorgetti furniture is more than function. Both are crafted to evoke emotions.”
In an age where luxury is increasingly interdisciplinary—blending fashion, architecture, and mobility—this partnership feels both timely and timeless. “This is not a branding exercise,” Bosio reflects. “It’s a vision of elegance and innovation designed to stand the test of time.”
As Milan Design Week unfolds, the Maserati Giorgetti Edition stands as a testament to what happens when two icons look beyond their disciplines to explore a shared philosophy. For those lucky enough to experience it up close, it’s more than a design showcase—it’s a glimpse into the future of luxury, where elegance is felt in every stitch, seam, and sculptural curve.
After all, in a world of mass production and rapid consumption, what could be more radical than slowing down to appreciate something truly bespoke?
