Loro Piana and Dimoremilano Debut Immersive La Prima Notte di Quiete Installation at Milan Design Week 2025
At Milan Design Week, Loro Piana and Dimoremilano unveil a cinematic installation inside the Maison’s Cortile della Seta, where 1970s-inspired interiors, rare craftsmanship, and sensory details transform a house into a dreamlike refuge

At Milan Design Week 2025, Loro Piana and Dimoremilano came together for the first time, unveiling an immersive installation inside the Maison’s Cortile della Seta headquarters. Conceived as a cinematic journey, the project transports visitors into La Prima Notte di Quiete — a dreamlike house where reality blurs with imagination.
Stepping past velvet curtains and leopard-patterned carpets, guests find themselves inside a 1970s-inspired residence, each room revealing a new dimension of style. Furniture designed by Dimorestudio for Loro Piana Interiors, alongside iconic Dimoremilano pieces reinterpreted in the maison’s fabrics, sets the stage for a tactile exploration of elegance. Cashmere, velvet, mohair, and wool meet lacquered wood, brass, and glass in furnishings that balance nostalgia with contemporary flair. Highlights include the sculptural Valsesia table, the curving Varallo bed, and the museum-like Locarno cabinets.
The cinematic effect deepens through sensory details: the soft play of light, the hush of shadows, the ring of a phone, the patter of rain — all scored by composer Nicola Guiducci. Antique pieces and artworks from Tornabuoni Art, Cardi Gallery, and Galleria Gracis e Secci Gallery enrich the mise-en-scène, while the new Punti a Maglia porcelain tableware collection, handcrafted in Limoges, underscores Loro Piana’s evolving vision of the art of good living.
Much more than an installation, the project is a dialogue between fashion, design, and cinema. It offers a rare moment of tranquillity within Milan Design Week’s energy — a home that feels both imagined and entirely real, reflecting Loro Piana’s quiet luxury and Dimoremilano’s timeless design codes.
