It’s a staple for many reasons; white goes with everything, suits all skin tones and makes a summer glow look that bit glowier.

Some lilac tones particularly the ultra-glossy, sheer lavender ones can look like a muted, vintage rose at a glance. For those who like the brightness of a white or light manicure, lilac can be skewed more or less pigmented depending on preference. A solid lilac will make more of a statement than a few coats of a sheer, glossy one. As a first, fun step, you might want to consider a lilac French manicure rather than a solid base.
