The Holy Month of Ramadan brings with it a multitude of blessings, often found in quiet moments of joy. While prayer and fasting form the spiritual pillars of the month, Ramadan is equally defined by the coming together of communities, forging connections over shared meals and collective reflections rooted in positivity. Seeking to honour this spirit in a thoughtful and meaningful way, Four Seasons introduces ‘Hikayat Ramadan’. A month-long activation across multiple Four Seasons properties in the GCC and North Africa, the initiative is grounded in tradition yet expressed with a sense of lightness and intention.
What does ‘Hikayat’ mean, and how does it reflect the spirit of Ramadan? Rooted in Arabic, ‘Hikayat’ refers to the art of storytelling (stories that carry emotion, depth and shared meaning). Through the Hikayat Ramadan initiative, Four Seasons brings communities together, creating bonds that celebrate cultural diversity while fostering connection in the true spirit of Ramadan. Each property across the GCC and North Africa will interpret Hikayat Ramadan through its own unique lens, featuring bespoke experiences and a signature Ramadan cake that reflects the region and its beautiful flavours.

The Majlis at Four Seasons Resort Dubai has been crafted with influence drawn from the historic Majlis where travellers, philosophers and poets gathered to share thoughts and break bread. Elevating the experience is MINA Brasserie, offering an iftar experience by the writings of the poet Rumi, orchestrating as a meaningful way to pay homage to someone who considered sharing a meal as a way of deepening connection.
In Amman, Jordan, Four Seasons is giving its Grand Ballroom a festive Ramadan makeover, blending modern design with traditional touches, complete with live cooking stations and an oriental band to set the mood. At Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza, guests can enjoy iftar and suhoor at Zitouni, the hotel’s celebrated Egyptian restaurant, while La Galerie in the lobby offers sweet delights (from golden kunafa to cream-filled qatayef) paired perfectly with Arabic coffee and traditional teas.
The signature cake at each Four Seasons property, is at the centre of it all with each creation telling a story and reflecting the spirit of Ramadan through flavours crafted by the resort’s resident Executive Pastry Chefs. In Dubai, the cake draws inspiration from Layali Jumeirah, combining chocolate, Hatta honey, a date crust, and pistachio into layered, flavourful perfection. In Riyadh, the chef pays homage to the Arabian desert, reinterpreting its essence with dates, crispy kunafa, malt-infused white chocolate, pistachio cream, and pure honey. In Qatar, the cake is a delicate creation infused with golden honey, pistachio, and camel‑milk chocolate, its design inspired by moments shared after sunset and offering a modern nod to Qatari heritage.
Through ‘Hikayat Ramadan’, Four Seasons is uniting the GCC and North Africa in spirit, with each property offering its own local interpretation of the celebration.
