For the second time, Doja Cat is channeling her inner feline on the Met Gala red carpet.
Tonight, at the 2025 Met Gala, the singer donned a Marc Jacobs crystal pinstriped bodysuit complete with a strong-shouldered wool jacket top and ocelot-print velvet intarsia body. The conical cups, boxy shoulders, and exaggerated hips call back to sculptural elements and skewed proportions present in Jacobs’s recent collections. (Of course, no Jacobs look is truly complete without his signature Kiki boots. Doja opted for a pair of custom stiletto ankle boots with the telltale buckles.) “I’ve never worn anything with such a special silhouette,” Doja Cat tells Vogue. “And, thankfully, it’s the most comfortable thing I think I’ll ever wear to the Met Gala, too!”
For her first-ever Met Gala in 2023, Doja paid homage to Karl Lagerfeld—and his cat, Choupette—by donning feline facial prosthetics and an Oscar de la Renta dress complete with beaded cat ears. This time, however, she’s opting for a different approach.
While she’s no stranger to leopard print (as evidenced by her Balmain Oscars dress), she opted for a different print for the Met, channeling the ocelot—a spotted cat indigenous to the Americas and Caribbean. “I wanted to incorporate the ocelot print because I really love big cat prints,” she says. “I think the ocelots print was a really fun touch because I don’t know how common that is, and leopard can be quite common. Marc is just brilliant in helping choose those things.”
Although the Ocelot print may not seem as obviously connected to the night’s theme, the personal significance to Doja Cat is a pure embodiment of the Tailored for You dress code. “There’s certain prints that I hold close and dear to me,” she says. “Personalising your suit is a really big, key point to the theme and how that’s approached.”
